The Ghana Ambulance Service came across a newly born baby in the Achimota Forest, close to the Accra Zoo, on Tuesday.
The little girl was found abandoned in the peace of the forest, wrapped in a black plastic bag. Fortunately, the miraculous rescue was made possible by the quick actions of the Ghana Ambulance Service team as they travelled to the Achimota School Police Station.
The committed staff moved quickly to gently extricate the infant from the confines of the polythene bag. They gave her the care and focus she so desperately needed by wrapping her in a white cloth. The baby received meticulous care inside the ambulance to ensure her security and welfare.
Following this tragic discovery, a report was immediately submitted to the neighbourhood police. The authorities have opened a thorough investigation into the situation in an effort to learn more about the details of this incident of abandonment.
