A specially designed cloth intended for the funeral of the late founder and General Overseer of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church, Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, is available for purchase at GH¢500 for a 12-yard piece.
This fabric has been crafted as a tribute to honor the memory of the deceased founder and leader.
According to a report from Graphic.com.gh, plans are being organized for the burial of the late clergyman, scheduled to occur on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
The report also reveals that, as of August 2, 2023, the 600-meter stretch of road from Kalabule junction to the residence of the clergyman in Mataheko, near Ngleshi Amanfro, was being repaired.
In addition, the house has been freshly painted and adorned with funeral posters, a billboard, and ribbons as decorations.
The late Rev. Kwadwo Boakye is expected to lie in state at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) arena from 9 am on Friday, August 4, until Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 4 am, according to the funeral poster advertisements on television by the family.
The burial service is set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, from 8 am to 12 noon.
Subsequently, the remains of the clergyman will be transported to the church premises at Ngleshi Amanfro, where the church has prepared a special tomb for his final resting place.
This will be a private burial, followed by a thanksgiving service on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the auditorium of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church.
Despite these arrangements, the wife of the late Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye has obtained an injunction to halt the scheduled funeral for this weekend. She seeks to stop the burial and final funeral rites due to a dispute with other members of the deceased’s extended family.
However, Yaa Boakye, one of the late clergyman’s children, asserted that her father’s funeral will proceed as planned.
