An undisclosed sum of money and numerous valuable items have reportedly been lost in a devastating fire.
The incident occurred when a residential property, consisting of 15 bedrooms, caught fire in Meduma near Kumasi on Wednesday, February 7, at approximately 3pm.
The fire is believed to have originated from one of the rooms before rapidly spreading throughout the house, resulting in extensive damage.
According to a police report obtained by the paper, the house was largely unoccupied at the time of the fire, with residents outside.
Eyewitnesses promptly alerted the Ghana National Fire Service, who responded swiftly to the scene to extinguish the flames.
Despite their efforts, the fire had already consumed a significant amount of money and other valuable belongings within the premises.
