Actress Fella Makafui’s manager, Richmond Amofa Sarpong, has refuted claims of her arrest for selling unauthorized products.
He clarified that Fella was merely summoned to clarify certain aspects of her products, which are currently in the registration process.
Reportedly, the actress provided all necessary paperwork, including her license from the Ghana Traditional Medicine Practice and information about her FDA-registered products.
Richmond Amofa Sarpong conveyed this information through a social media post.
He said: “Please disregard the reports about Actress Fella Makafui’s arrest. She was invited yesterday and departed soon after respectfully honouring the invitation.”
“She shared all necessary information about the subject matter to assist the investigation and presented her license from the Ghana Traditional Medicine Practice along with details of her FDA-registered products.”
“Additionally, she provided information on the few products still undergoing the registration process,” he stressed.
On May 23, 2024, widespread reports circulated alleging that Fella Makafui had been detained by the Pharmacy Council and the Food and Drugs Authority for vending unauthorized products.
