Ghanaian Highlife and Afro Dancehall artist, Francine Nyanko Koffi, widely known as Fantana, has been actively supporting her mother, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey, running under the banner of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), officially kicked off her re-election campaign on August 27, 2024.
The launch event attracted a large crowd of NDC supporters and local constituents, who filled the streets to back the sitting MP.
In photos shared by the MP on social media, Fantana is seen standing proudly beside her mother.
The two were dressed in matching branded T-shirts and waved NDC flags, sharing smiles as they joined the enthusiastic crowd in the campaign procession.
The event culminated at a local park, where Fantana took the stage alongside her mother for the formal campaign launch.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey is seeking to retain her seat in a highly competitive race against Paul Essien, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate.
Fantana’s visible support for her mother garnered widespread praise on social media, with many commending her for the public show of solidarity.
