Excavator operator robbed of GHC35,000 at gunpoint in Obuasi

A 33-year-old excavator operator, Agya Owusu Ansah, has fallen victim to a robbery incident where he was stripped of his cash and other valuables totalling GHC35,000 at Dadwen, near Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

Reports from the police indicate that the victim was asleep in his room when he suddenly woke up to the sight of six masked men, three of whom were armed with guns, pointing at him.

The other three individuals proceeded to tie him up with ropes before robbing him.

The robbers made away with cash amounting to Gh¢30,000, along with a Samsung ‘A15′ mobile phone valued at Gh¢1,850.00 and an Infinix Spark ’19’ mobile phone valued at Gh¢1,400.00.

Agya Owusu Ansah suspects that one of the six individuals involved in the robbery was the mastermind behind the crime.
