Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Sam Nartey George, recently shared insights into his teenage love life and its impact on his education during an interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM.
Sam George revealed that he experienced heartbreak during his Junior High School (JHS) days when his then-girlfriend decided to end their relationship.
The timing of this breakup, just before the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), had a significant impact on him.
In the interview on Thursday, December 14, 2023, George disclosed that the emotional distress from the broken relationship affected his mental state, hindering his ability to adequately prepare for the BECE.
As a consequence, he admitted that he did not perform as well as he could have in the examination.

Sam George: Yes
Bola Ray: Really? How did it happen and when was that?
Sam George: It was at my young age
Bola Ray: How did you take that?
Sam George: It affected my performance in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Although I passed, the way I was supposed to excel didn’t happen that way.
