Renowned Ghanaian comedian and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, is championing a call for increased health consciousness within the public, particularly among fellow entertainers.
He stressed the necessity of regular health check-ups and physical activity to prevent unforeseen health emergencies.
Speaking during the COA health walk in Cape Coast organised by COA Mixture, Lil Win highlighted the value of health awareness and recommended regular visits to healthcare providers for wellness assessments.
“Consistent exercise and health screenings can uncover hidden medical issues,” Lil Win advised, underlining the importance of proactive health measures.
During the event, COA Mixture provided complimentary health screenings, prompting Lil Win to encourage individuals to take advantage of such opportunities to monitor their health status.
“Whether in the spotlight or not, staying informed about your health is critical, and free medical screenings should be embraced by everyone, regardless of financial circumstances,” he emphasized.
Dr. James Prah, the Medical Director at the University of Cape Coast Hospital, conducted screenings for various health conditions like HIV, typhoid, diabetes, and hypertension.
He stressed the significance of early detection in preventing complications, highlighting the essential role of preventive healthcare through regular monitoring.
