Manager of Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex, has voiced his disappointment with Ghanaian broadcast journalist Sally Mann. Mann recently claimed that certain industry figures are conspiring to sabotage Shatta Wale’s career.
During an interview on Onua FM, Sammy Flex described Mann’s remarks as unfortunate. He emphasised that such a plot would not only harm Shatta Wale, the “On God” singer, but also impact the entire team associated with him.
“To be frank, I was disappointed when I heard the issue. I asked myself what at all he (Shatta Wale) might have done against someone, and they want to shame him and make sure anything he does won’t succeed.
I also asked myself that if we claim we are in the same industry and some people would decide to do this, what would they gain from it? And you know it won’t only affect him but those who work with him as well. It is a disappointing statement coming from Sally,” he said.
Background
On November 10, 2024, journalist Sally Mann revealed that she and several other media figures had devised a plan to undermine dancehall artist Shatta Wale’s career.
Speaking on Adom TV, Sally explained that their main goal was to elevate Stonebwoy’s profile, aiming to help him secure a Grammy award, and this effort included marginalising Shatta Wale.
She mentioned that their motivation stemmed from what they perceived as Shatta Wale’s disrespect towards media professionals in Ghana.
