Gospel artist Isiah Ampong, popularly known as Great Ampong, has dismissed rumors suggesting that he was paid to create campaign songs for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Connect 97.1 FM’s “Edwumapa mbr3,” Ampong, a staunch NPP supporter, reiterated his loyalty to the party but refuted claims of financial transactions for political music.
He stated firmly, “Anyone claiming I’ve been paid for a campaign song is mistaken. I haven’t been approached or given any money for such a project.”
Ampong emphasized that regardless of whether he releases political songs this year, his support for the NPP remains unwavering.
“Whether I choose to release a political song this year or not, my allegiance to the NPP remains steadfast,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of staying authentic in both artistic expression and political beliefs.
