I did not receive any negative review when I posted my ‘boxer shorts’ picture  – Okyeame Kwame

Renowned Ghanaian musician and songwriter, Kwame Nsiah-Apau known popularly as Okyeame Kwame defied stereotypes and embraced self-expression with a daring photo in personalized boxer shorts, eliciting overwhelming positive responses from fans.

During an exclusive interview on TV XYZ, the ‘Yeeko’ hitmaker expressed his surprise at the flood of encouraging feedback, emphasising that he intentionally aimed to challenge societal norms and break stereotypes with his unconventional post.

Okyeame Kwame believes in the importance of unrestricted self-expression, and the absence of negative comments on his post affirms his belief that people are inevitably going to talk about anything one does.

The artist, celebrated for both his musical talent and fashion sense, shared his conviction that creativity should not be confined by traditional expectations.

He highlighted the absence of any negative comments, asserting, “I didn’t receive any negative comments…not even a single one. I knew what I was doing; I’m not a kid, you know.”

Okyeame Kwame sees the positive reactions from his followers as a reinforcement of the idea that embracing individuality is essential.

In addition to the online praise, Okyeame disclosed that his direct messages were flooded with admiration, with some fans expressing their appreciation and even requesting his phone number.
