Enough of the silence, you have to speak now – Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe tells Kufuor, Otumfuo, others

Founding member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has called upon influential figures like former President John Agyekum Kufuor to address the concerning state of governance in the country.

He made this plea during an anti-corruption forum organized by Togbe Afede, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State.

During the forum, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe expressed his deep concern for the nation and stressed the urgent need for influential personalities, including former President Kufuor, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the National Chief Imam, and Archbishops, to raise their voices in the ongoing discourse on governance.

He firmly believes that the country is currently facing imminent danger, and he pointed out the failure of certain leaders to speak out, which, in his view, is pushing the nation towards a catastrophe.

Addressing former President Kufuor directly, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe urged him to break his silence on the state of affairs, stating, “I would like also to bring to the attention of former President Kufuor that it is time to talk, he has been too silent and because he is refusing to talk it is leading this country into a disaster.”

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe firmly conveyed his belief that the current state of affairs in the country reflects President Akufo-Addo’s ineffective management of national affairs.

He specifically highlighted concerns regarding the actions of the Electoral Commission and cautioned about potential consequences if these issues are not addressed.

“This country is facing danger if you just take a careful look at what the Electoral Commission is doing – the signals are there,” he cautioned.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe’s heartfelt plea emphasizes the immediate need to tackle governance challenges and underscores the significance of influential figures using their voices to advocate for the nation’s welfare.
