The Ghana Police Service has purportedly detained a voter who allegedly photographed their ballot paper while inside the voting booth during the ongoing Ejisu parliamentary by-election.
The incident occurred at a polling station in Krapa, a neighborhood within Ejisu.
An onlooker recounted that the accused, identified as a male, took out his phone inside the booth and began recording himself.
Reportedly, law enforcement officers intervened promptly, arresting the individual. The witness added that following the apprehension, the officers escorted the man away from the polling station in custody.
Footage from the scene depicted a disturbance at the polling station, with individuals being guided into a police vehicle.
The video also showed police personnel departing from the polling station with a man in their custody, whom the witness identified as the individual caught recording his vote.
