An earth tremor with a magnitude of 2.8 on Friday, hit James Town in the Greater Accra Region, according to the Ghana Geological Survey Authority.
The tremor was slightly felt in High Street, Ridge and some parts of Accra Central.
According to the Authority, the earth tremor did not cause any damage as it is a minor one.
In December last year, two earth tremors hit Ghana’s capital. They occurred on December 12 and 16 respectively.

Meanwhile, the Survey Authority has noted that it has been difficult to predict earth tremors as it is a natural occurrence.
However, it noted that “the Authority is committed to continuously monitoring these events and informing the public appropriately to ensure public safety and minimize risk.”
On the other hand, Ghanaians have been entreated to remain calm and go about their normal activities.
