Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has delivered a sharp warning to the people of Kintampo North in the Bono East Region.
Agyapong stated that the residents would face serious consequences if they do not vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
He criticised the region for what he described as a lack of appreciation, despite its significant number of high-ranking government officials, for supporting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in previous elections.
Agyapong further threatened that if the NPP does not secure victory in the region, he would block any upcoming infrastructure and sports projects.
“If you don’t vote [for NPP] and you insist that we should come and develop this area… I am the Chairman at Ghana Gas who can authorise its construction, but I will personally not do it.
Because you never vote for us. You will collect all there is in the world but won’t vote for us,” Kennedy Agyapong said angrily.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on the constituents of Kintampo North to reconsider their voting patterns.
He emphasised that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has consistently demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity and fairness, without discrimination.
Prempeh assured the voters that supporting Dr. Bawumia would mean choosing a leader dedicated to advancing Ghana through transformative policies aimed at driving national development forward.
