Over the past seven years, various healthcare initiatives have been implemented, such as the Surveillance, Outbreak Response Management, and Analysis System (SORMAS) eHealth System, which have significantly improved disease control and outbreak management systems.

The government also aims to deepen the use of information and communication technology (ICT) for telemedicine and teleconsultation services within the healthcare network, extending this integration to Regional Hospitals to enhance healthcare service quality and accessibility at all levels.

The Vice President reaffirmed the government’s steadfast commitment to providing quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

He emphasized that the completion of these healthcare projects in different regions would contribute to improving infrastructural facilities and bridging equity gaps in geographical access to health services.

“Our government’s commitment to providing quality, accessible and affordable healthcare in line with the Sustainable Development Goals remains steadfast.

“The completion of these projects in Elubo, Nsuaem, Bogoso, Wassa Dunkwa, Mpohor and Akontombra which is being inaugurated today will improve the stock of infrastructural facilities and bridge equity gaps in geographical access to health services,” the Vice President said.
