Ghanaian gospel sensation Diana Asamoah has lauded Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for championing the government’s digital transformation efforts, citing its life-saving and money-saving impacts.
In a social media video, she revealed a troubling incident where her assistant pastor stole GH₵4,000 from her mobile wallet, leading to his arrest.
Detailing the betrayal, Asamoah shared that the culprit, Reverend Kwame Asante, had repeatedly stolen from her in the past.
She credited the efficiency of digital transactions, facilitated by Dr. Bawumia’s initiatives, for uncovering the theft and preventing further harm.
Asamoah emphasised the seriousness of the situation, expressing concern for her safety had the theft not been exposed.
Her support for Dr. Bawumia’s presidential aspirations was also highlighted in the context of the incident.
