Prominent Ghanaian hiplife artist Sidney Kofi Ofori, known widely as Barima Sidney, has affirmed his unwavering support for Akufo-Addo, whom he endorsed over John Mahama in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Speaking on Cape Coast’s Property FM, Sidney, who was a frequent performer at New Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign events, emphasized that he stands by his decision despite the current administration’s struggles.
“I’ve consistently said that I have no regrets supporting Akufo-Addo, given his promises at that time,” Sidney remarked. “I don’t share the sentiment of disappointment or regret that some people feel about supporting him.”
He pointed out the challenges faced by the administration, acknowledging both its accomplishments and failures.
Sidney encouraged voters to base their decisions on their personal experiences, as some might be facing difficulties while others are benefiting.
Sidney concluded, “I will never express regret for supporting NPP and Akufo-Addo during those elections. That’s a stance I firmly hold.”
