In a bold daylight heist, two robbers on a motorbike fled with an undisclosed amount of money from the Pan African Savings and Loans branch on Spintex Road in Accra.
The robbery occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and was captured in videos shared on social media.
The thieves reportedly followed an individual who was transporting cash to the bank. They waited near a pharmacy across from the bank and attacked when they saw their target.
Gunshots heard in the video were initially thought to be a shoot out with the police. However, an eyewitness clarified that the robbers fired the shots as warnings.
In a dramatic turn of events, one robber fell from the motorbike during their escape but managed to quickly rejoin his accomplice, and they both sped away from the scene.
