Over the weekend, a container trailer collided with multiple vehicles on a road in Sokoban, located in the Nhyiaeso Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
A viral video on social media captured the moment when the container trailer lost control and crashed into several vehicles ahead of it.
The large vehicle initially collided with a sprinter van directly in front of it, subsequently forcing a public transport minivan (trotro) off the road.
This unfortunate chain of events led to a collision involving at least five vehicles. Distressed residents present at the scene could be seen in the video, praying and appealing for assistance.
According to a social media user, Sokoban Fatilow who shared the video, the road where the accident occurred has become a perilous hazard due to its poor condition.
The user further noted that on April 10, 2023, Easter Monday, three individuals lost their lives in an accident at the same location.
