On Monday, May 6, 2024, the Dunkwa-on-Offin Fire Station responded swiftly to a fire call at Abankeseso behind the circuit court.
Led by LFM Mensah, the experienced and adept crew arrived at the scene in just 3 minutes, ready to tackle the blaze.
Utilizing one length of delivery hose, the firefighters efficiently defended five other stores from the spreading flames.
Despite the fierce fire, which resulted in damage to a container shop and its contents including phones, desktop computers, cameras, plastic bags, crates of eggs, and a refrigerator, the fire was successfully extinguished by 12:09 hours without any injuries to firefighters or civilians.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway. The quick response and effective firefighting efforts of the Dunkwa-on-Offin Fire Station ultimately saved the five stores from destruction.
