Following Chelsea‘s loss to Aston Villa on Sunday, September 24, 2023, a segment of fans expressed their discontent with the team’s recent performances by booing the players.

Center-back Axel Disasi appeared to put Chelsea ahead in the first half, but his goal was disallowed due to offside.

In the second half, Chelsea’s Malo Gusto received a red card for a reckless tackle on Lucas Digne, reducing the team to ten men.

Despite the disadvantage, Chelsea had several opportunities to take the lead, with Raheem Sterling missing a crucial chance.

Aston Villa eventually seized the lead through Ollie Watkins, who scored from a challenging angle after a smooth counterattack.

This goal secured three points for Aston Villa, elevating them to 6th place in the table, while Chelsea dropped to 14th following the home defeat.

Chelsea’s goal drought continued as they failed to score in three consecutive games.
