The Deputy Bono Regional Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Adjei has made startling allegations against Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Adjei alleges that Chairman Wontumi may possess information related to the death of Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah.
Adjei claims that Chairman Wontumi’s aide confirmed to him the rumours, originally spread by media personality Captain Smart, about poisoned meat allegedly leading to John Kumah’s demise.
The NDC official revealed that the aide indicated Chairman Wontumi was well-informed and in control during the event, unlike the late deputy minister.
Further elaborating, Adjei asserted that Chairman Wontumi was conscious of the situation and consumed less poison compared to John Kumah.
According to him, both Chairman Wontumi and the late deputy finance minister were present at the event where the poisoning allegedly occurred.
“The aide confirmed that Chairman Wontumi and the late deputy finance minister were both present and consumed the poison, but Chairman Wontumi ingested a smaller amount compared to John Kumah,” stated Eric Adjei.
