A British tourist who had been pulled from the water on a Greek beach has passed away.
At Alykanas beach near Zante, a group of tourists rescued a 64-year-old guy unconscious from the water.
Around 9.15 a.m. local time on Friday, the Greek coast guard and ambulance service arrived at the scene.
The man was transferred to Zakynthos General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, according to The Sun.
Local news site EPT News reported there was no lifeguard on duty at the time of the incident.
A preliminary investigation is carried out by the Port Authority of Zakynthos.
