Ben Lord Ababio, the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of a military officer in Kasoa, Central Region, has been formally charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Ben Lord, who claims to be a chief, is accused of shooting the officer near the Millennium City Police Station. He has been in custody since he was put before the court on May 3, 2024.
Following the completion of police investigations, the case file was forwarded to the Attorney General’s office for assessment.
After thorough deliberations, the Attorney General instructed the police to proceed with charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder against Ben Lord.
In addition, another individual implicated in the case, Nana Amoh Kwakye, faces a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
The court has adjourned the proceedings until June 20, 2024, as the case continues to unfold.
