Bechem United, a Ghana Premier League team, has reportedly parted ways with coach Bismark Kobi Mensah due to the team’s unimpressive performance so far this season.
Kobi Mensah, who previously coached Karela United, joined Bechem United before the start of the 2023/24 season, replacing Kasim Ocansey Mingle, who left to join Nations FC.
Despite a slow start to the season, Bechem United showed improvement, going unbeaten for ten games in the first half of the season. However, their inconsistency has led to Kobi Mensah’s departure.
The team has struggled since the league resumed, losing narrowly to Nsoatreman FC in their previous game.
It is unclear who will replace Kobi Mensah, but sources suggest that former Great Olympics coach Annor Walker could be a top candidate.
Bechem United is currently in ninth place with 26 points after 18 games, having won 7, drawn 5, and lost 6.
They will face league leaders Samartex this weekend under the guidance of an interim coach as they look to improve their performance.
