In Ashiresu, located in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, a tragic incident occurred as a farmer was discovered lifeless atop a pear tree.
The deceased, identified as Alhaji Malik, was found on Sunday, May 12, 2024, with gunshot wounds to the head and blood stains surrounding him.
Initial reports indicate that Alhaji Malik had ventured out to harvest pears for sale.
However, his lifeless body was discovered on the tree, with his ‘aboboyaa’ tricycle left abandoned nearby.
Kofi Gyabaa, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem via Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, revealed that the farmer’s absence prompted concern among his family members.
A search ensued, leading to the tragic discovery of his body on the tree, accompanied by blood stains.
Subsequently, the police were notified, initiating an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following Islamic traditions, the body was released to the family for burial rites.
Alhaji Malik leaves behind a wife and over six children to mourn his untimely demise.
