Arsenal eyes Atalanta’s Lookman as PSG deal delays

Ademola Lookman remains interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but negotiations with Atalanta have stalled due to the French club’s reluctance to meet the Italian side’s asking price.

This development has opened the door for other clubs, including Arsenal, to potentially enter the race for the forward, according to Sky Sports Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg.

Lookman had a standout season in Italy, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions, which has drawn the attention of several European clubs.

Despite his desire to leave Atalanta this summer, no transfer agreement has been finalised.

While Lookman is eager to join PSG, the likelihood of a deal appears slim as the two clubs remain far apart in their valuations.

PSG already have strikers Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio has also been deployed in an attacking role.

Arsenal, among other European clubs, are keeping a close watch on Lookman’s situation.

The Gunners are actively seeking to strengthen their forward line, especially with Eddie Nketiah potentially on his way out and Gabriel Jesus facing a possible injury layoff, pending the results of an MRI scan on his groyne.

Arsenal could be more willing than PSG to meet Atalanta’s demands for the 26-year-old winger.
