The Central East Regional Police Command is actively searching for four armed robbers who attacked the Star Oil filling station at Gomoa Dominase Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The robbery took place around 7:30 PM while Ali Mohammed, a station attendant, was assisting a customer.
Police reports indicate that the assailants, all wearing face masks, included two men armed with pump-action shotguns and two others wielding knives.
They burst into the station, firing their weapons and managing to steal GHC 3,392 before escaping.
The entire incident was recorded by the station’s CCTV cameras.
Despite a swift police response, the perpetrators had already fled by the time officers arrived.
Crime scene investigators from the Central East Regional Police Command have conducted a thorough examination of the site and launched an investigation.
No suspects have been apprehended so far.
It is worth noting that this is the second robbery at this particular filling station.
