The medal tally included 19 gold, 29 silver, and 21 bronze medals, achieved across 10 sporting disciplines.

Notably, arm wrestling contributed significantly to Ghana’s medal count, securing 41 medals, which accounted for 60% of the total.

Minister Ussif also emphasised the government’s commitment to maintaining the sporting facilities constructed for the African Games.

He highlighted President Akufo-Addo’s plans to repurpose and sustain these facilities for the broader sporting community beyond the conclusion of the games.

This underscores the government’s dedication to fostering sports development and providing athletes with opportunities to excel in world-class facilities.
