Akufo-Addo has done very well – Diana Asamoah fires critics

Ghanaian Gospel musician Diana Asamoah has described the criticism hurled at President Akufo-Addo over the running of the economy as baseless.

Some members of the general public have called for the resignation of President Akufo-Addo over the economic challenges being faced.

During an appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz over the weekend, she expressed contentment over the management of the taxpayers’ money.

According to her, under the administration of President Akufo-Addo, Ghanaian students have benefited from the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme.

“My father did well. That sister, you say you are in the NPP, but you dirty the party. My President, Akufo-Addo, he has provided free education. You know what, he has done well. My father, he is my everything.

“He has done so well. You must stop the unfounded criticism,” she said in Twi.

Meanwhile, the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has called for an urgent national stakeholder dialogue to relook at the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme in relation to the country’s current economic situation.

The Free SHS programme was introduced in September, 2017.
