The recent attacks by the US and UK on Houthi targets in Yemen will make some Yemeni people support the Houthi group more, according to Hassan Ahmadian, who teaches about the Middle East at the University of Tehran. He spoke to the BBC News channel about this.

He says the Houthis are more liked in Yemen and the surrounding area because of their attacks on ships in the Red Sea, which they say are aimed at Israel during their conflict with Gaza.

The US and UK are trying to say that their recent actions are not connected to the Gaza war, but many people in the Middle East don’t believe them.

“It fits into many stories. ” He said the United States is helping Israel break the rules of international law in their fight against Gaza.

“But when it comes to Yemen, it’s against breaking international laws, which is unfair and hypocritical. ” This attack will only make that situation worse.
