Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is considering making a move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leão, as reported by Calciomercato.
With Kylian Mbappé likely to leave for Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer, PSG is exploring potential options to bolster their forward line.
Sources informed ESPN that the 24-year-old Leão has emerged as a primary target for PSG, according to Calciomercato.
Although PSG had shown interest in Leão last summer following the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar, no bid materialised, largely due to Mbappé’s decision to remain with the French club.
However, with Mbappé’s situation set to change, PSG could be inclined to pursue Leão once the transfer window opens, though there has been no communication between the two clubs thus far.
Portugal international Leão enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, tallying 16 goals and 15 assists in all competitions. However, he has struggled to replicate that form this season, only scoring three goals in Serie A.
Despite maintaining a strong relationship with Milan, a potential move could be on the cards for Leão.
