Ghanaian rapper Pope Skinny has discussed his current rapport with dancehall sensation Shatta Wale, emphasising that, despite previous conflicts, they have managed to maintain a positive relationship.
During an interview on Adom FM’s Ofie Kwanso show with Jerry Justice, Pope Skinny acknowledged their history of disagreements but affirmed that their connection remains intact.
He highlighted that, while misunderstandings occurred in the past, they have both moved past those issues and are currently on friendly terms.
“We had a misunderstanding and couldn’t solve it indoors, so we brought it out to the public. But now, we are no more like that. I am too mature to have issues with Shatta Wale. He is my guy, my friend, and I do not have any problem with him,” Pope Skinny shared.
He admitted that although their disagreement became public, it was just one of many quarrels between them.
“We have fought many times, and this is the only one that came out… He said something that pained me, but I had to let the people know it wasn’t true. But for life, I and Wale, we are for life.”
Pope Skinny also revealed that he had recently reached out to Shatta Wale when he arrived in the country.
“I sent him a message that he should come and pick me up at the airport, but he didn’t come. I even told some of his people. It would have been beautiful for him to do that, but he knows where I am, so I believe he will surprise me with a visit.”
