Man City’s Rodri out for season -Pep confirms

Pep Guardiola has announced that Manchester City midfielder Rodri will be out for the remainder of the season due to injury.

Rodri sustained a knee injury during the 2-2 draw against Arsenal and subsequently went to Barcelona for medical evaluations on Monday.

At a press conference on Friday, Guardiola revealed that the Spain international has had surgery and will not return for the rest of the campaign.

“He had surgery this morning. ACL and some meniscus, we think. Next season he will be with us. This season is over. Unfortunately we got the worst news but that is what happened, we will be there to support him and move forward step by step.”
