Asante Kotoko has opted to use the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi as their temporary home ground for the current season.
This move comes after the Baba Yara Stadium was closed by the National Sports Authority (NSA) for renovation.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently revoked its approval of the Kumasi stadium, citing ongoing issues such as a poor playing surface, which was evident during the Black Stars’ 1-0 defeat to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
In response, the Sports Ministry has instructed the NSA to address the problems with the pitch, though there is no clear timeline for when the stadium will be ready for use.
For now, Asante Kotoko will continue to play their home games at the Len Clay Stadium.
The team is scheduled to train there on Friday in preparation for their match against Young Apostles.
