The latest Monetary Policy Report from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) reveals a slight decline in the number of advertised jobs for June 2024. A total of 2,968 job advertisements were recorded, compared to 2,993 in the same period in 2023.
The report indicates that the volume of job adverts in selected print and online media, which partially reflects labor demand in the economy, remained largely consistent with the previous year’s figures for June 2024.
However, the report also noted that for the first half of 2024, the total number of advertised jobs increased by 2.4% to 17,278, up from 16,866 in the corresponding period of 2023.
The Monetary Policy Report provides an overview of the economic and financial assessments considered by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) during its 119th meeting in July 2024, prior to making policy decisions.
