A devastating fire swept through Kasoa on Monday evening, destroying multiple shops and structures at Ghana Flag Junction.
The blaze, which broke out around 5:30 pm, has left significant damage in its wake, with property worth tens of thousands of cedis lost.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were promptly called to the scene and have been working tirelessly to bring the inferno under control.
Despite their efforts, several businesses, including carpentry shops and drinking spots located along the Kasoa-Obom road, have been completely gutted.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported at this time. However, the fire has sparked concerns among local residents, who fear that the proximity of power lines and nearby filling stations could lead to an even more dangerous situation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
