Kofi Okyere-Darko, (KOD) along with actress and parliamentary candidate Ebi Bright and GHAMRO Board Chairman Rex Owusu Marfo (popularly known as Rex Omar), has been appointed as spokespersons for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Creative Arts sector.
This appointment comes in the wake of the NDC’s Manifesto launch for the 2024 general election, held on August 24 in Winneba, Central Region.
The new spokespersons will be responsible for articulating the NDC’s plans and vision for the creative sector as outlined in their manifesto.
They will engage with the media to provide detailed insights into the party’s objectives for the arts.
The NDC has pledged to advance the creative arts industry and boost its economic impact.
A key initiative is the introduction of ‘The Black Star Experience,’ a proposed flagship culture, arts, and tourism brand.
This initiative aims to position Ghana as a leading tourism destination by celebrating entertainment, arts, and education throughout the year.
