Nana Yeboah played a crucial role in Dr Likee’s career – Don Little

Ghanaian comic actor Don Little recently shared insights into the early challenges faced by his colleague, Dr Likee, during the beginning of his acting career.

At the time, Dr Likee, then known as Ras Nene, encountered significant skepticism and discrimination within the industry.

Don Little recalled that in the early days of YouTube content creation in Ghana, he and fellow actor Nana Yeboah were key figures on the “Ghana We Dey” channel.

When Dr Likee joined the team, his comedic abilities were met with doubt, leading to hesitations from other team members, which caused delays in production.

“There was a director nicknamed 925, a lady named Sadat, and another individual who managed the YouTube channel, Ghana We Dey. Nana Yeboah and I were the main creators on that platform. When Dr Likee joined, it stirred up some issues. Many didn’t believe in his comedic talent and refused to work with him,” Don Little explained in a video shared by EdHud on X.

Despite the initial resistance, Nana Yeboah played a pivotal role in supporting Dr Likee, even offering to split his own pay to keep him on board.

This act of kindness strengthened the bond between the two, leading Don Little to step back from the channel to allow them to collaborate more effectively.

“Sadat even reached out to me, concerned that I had left out of resentment. But I clarified that I stepped aside because Dr Likee and Nana Yeboah made a stronger team together,” Don Little added.

He also revealed that it was Sadat who coined the name “Dr Likee,” and he commended Dr Likee’s determination and hard work, which have contributed significantly to his success in the industry today.
