I don’t regret publicly acknowledging my childlessness after 20 years of marriage – Oheneni Adazoa

Radio and TV personality Genevieve Abrefa Yeboah, popularly known as Oheneni Adazoa, recently addressed the criticisms she received after revealing on The Delay Show that she has not had children despite being married for 20 years.

She shared that her decision to speak openly about her situation was meant to encourage other women facing similar challenges to stay strong.

Oheneni made it clear that she has no regrets about discussing this personal matter publicly, even if some people are uncomfortable with it.

During an interview on Sompa FM, she acknowledged the difficulties she has faced on this journey but credited her endurance to God’s grace.

In her words, “Someone criticized me for talking about my childlessness after 20 years of marriage, but I said, ‘Why shouldn’t I?’ There are many women in the same situation who need to know they are not alone. We are in this together, and we will overcome.”

She further expressed that the experience is far from easy, with moments of hope that often end in disappointment.

“This has been my reality for a long time, and it takes God’s strength to continue,” she shared in a video posted by Marigyata on Instagram.

On The Delay Show, Oheneni reflected on her journey, saying, “I’ve been married for twenty years and still don’t have a child, but I remain hopeful. It hasn’t been easy; it’s been a tough road.”

She also revealed the emotional toll it has taken, particularly after the passing of her mother last year, who she believes was deeply affected by her inability to have children.
