The claims of hardship in Ghana are cosmetic, Ghanaian youth are chilling – Omane Acheampong

Award-winning musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong has dismissed allegations of widespread hardship in Ghana, arguing that these claims are merely fabrications by the opposition to discredit the current government.

He believes that the portrayal of hardship is exaggerated and not reflective of the true situation on the ground.

Speaking on Fox FM during the NPP manifesto launch, Acheampong challenged the notion of hardship by encouraging doubters to visit pubs and lounges at night, where, according to him, the vibrant social life of Ghanaian youth proves otherwise.

He acknowledged that the post-COVID recovery has been challenging but emphasized that these difficulties are part of a global trend, not unique to Ghana.

“The claims of hardship in Ghana is cosmetic and a figment of their imagination. If you think there is hardship in Ghana, visit pubs and lounges at night and you’ll see how Ghanaian youth are chilling at night.

“This is a clear indication that there is no hardship. I acknowledge that after COVID things have not been the same but that is a global phenomenon.”
