The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) has affirmed the party’s eagerness to participate in a debate with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) under any circumstances.
In a recent Facebook post, Nana B announced the NPP’s readiness to debate the NDC, even if the event is held at the NDC’s headquarters or moderated by the NDC’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
“DMB is ready to debate JDM even with Asiedu Nketia as the moderator and at the NDC’s headquarters or JDM’s office as the venue,” Nana B stated.
This statement follows a call from the NPP’s flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for a debate with the NDC’s flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama.
So far, Mahama has not officially addressed the debate challenge. His aide, Joyce Bawah, has dismissed the suggestion, arguing that given the current economic situation, there is nothing substantial to debate.
