I only listen to my husband’s music – Simi

Nigerian musician and songwriter Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, recently shared on the “Zero Conditions” podcast that she primarily listens to songs by her husband, Adekunle Gold, along with her own music.

She explained that her preference for Adekunle Gold’s music is influenced by their marriage, saying, “I don’t listen to anybody’s music.

The reason I listen to my husband’s songs is because I’m married to him.”

Simi also mentioned enjoying Post Malone’s debut album ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ and being a fan of J.Cole.

Simi clarified that she doesn’t listen to music frequently and is currently focused on promoting her newly released album.

However, she anticipates her listening habits will evolve over time.

Recently, Simi faced criticism on social media after sharing a video participating in the ‘2345678’ TikTok challenge with Adekunle Gold, family, and friends while wearing a swimsuit. Some criticized her attire, deeming it inappropriate for a married woman.

In response, Simi posted an apology video, acknowledging her sister’s advice which she had initially ignored. She apologized to her fans for any disappointment caused and assured them of opting for more modest attire, such as a “Kaftan,” for future pool outings.
