Details have surfaced regarding the scandalous affair involving Nurein Shaibu Migyimah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Assin Central, and the wife of the party’s Constituency Secretary.

This revelation has ignited widespread outrage within the party.

Initial reports indicated that Migyimah’s illicit relationship with the Secretary’s wife led to her pregnancy and subsequent relocation, which severely tarnished his reputation and resulted in his suspension from the party.

It was alleged that Migyimah, after impregnating the Secretary’s wife, moved her to Kasoa and arranged accommodation for her there.

These allegations, substantiated by evidence, have plunged the NDC Central Regional Secretariat into turmoil as it grapples with the fallout from the incident.

Further investigation has revealed even more shocking details, including secret meetings between Migyimah and the Secretary’s wife at their matrimonial home in his absence, where they engaged in inappropriate activities.

The NDC’s Central Regional Organizer, Michael M. Derry, revealed in an interview that suspicions of infidelity led the Secretary to install cameras in his home. These cameras captured numerous intimate encounters between Nurein Shaibu Migyimah and the Secretary’s wife.

Previously suspended for six months, pending a formal hearing by the Regional Disciplinary Committee, Migyimah faced charges of “immoral acts and anti-party conduct.”

This suspension has now resulted in his imminent removal as the 2024 Assin Central Parliamentary Candidate by the NDC Central Regional Functional Executive Committee.

In a recent turn of events, the party has intensified sanctions against Migyimah. Mr. Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, Regional Secretary of the NDC, confirmed that after consultations with national party leadership and key stakeholders, the decision was made to revoke Migyimah’s candidacy.

Meanwhile, Nurein Shaibu Migyimah, the candidate for Assin Central Constituency, described recent events as a ‘nightmare,’ but remains confident in his eventual vindication.

In a previous interview he stated, “I have not received any formal communication yet, but I am taking steps within the party’s framework to ensure a fair hearing regarding the ongoing situation.

This is a political party, and we operate under our party’s constitution. I am young and determined to navigate through this.

“I believe, and I know whatever allegation, anything they’ve said or whatever it is, after I go through the right party structures, I’ll be vindicated. God being so good, God willing, ‘Inshallah’, on December 7, I’m going to win the election,” he added.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_-E7A1oh6o
