Renowned Kumawood actor Big Akwes has publicly endorsed John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
He voiced his belief in Mahama’s policies aimed at empowering the youth, solidifying him as his favored presidential candidate.
Big Akwes has urged fellow youth to unite behind Mahama and support his efforts in addressing neglected issues under the current government.
Despite possible criticism for his political stance, Big Akwes remains unwavering in advocating for youth interests.
“I am not swayed by opinions regarding my political beliefs. My decisions are based on what benefits both me and the youth. That’s why I am urging young people to support Mahama in the elections; I am certain he will not let them down. Mahama will work to ensure their aspirations are fulfilled,” he emphasized in a Twi interview with UTV.
These statements were made at an event organized by filmmakers in support of NDC’s John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2024 elections, attended by prominent Kumawood figures including Christiana.
