Father of the late singer Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, recently provided more details about his son’s death during an interview on Arise News.
He addressed the events surrounding Mohbad’s passing and the issue of his grandson’s DNA.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died in Lagos on September 12, reportedly due to an ear infection.
Formerly signed with Marlian Music, owned by singer Naira Marley, Mohbad was buried in his hometown, Ikorodu, less than a day after his death.
For months, attempts to clarify the mystery of his death were unsuccessful until a toxicology report revealed traces of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, nine months later.
In the interview, Joseph Aloba explained that he opted for a swift burial due to traditional customs.
He also insisted on a DNA test for his grandson Liam based on a comment from one of Mohbad’s friends.
