Allegedly, New Patriotic Party (NPP) thugs have reportedly attacked some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sehwi Wiawso Constituency of the Western North Region.
Reports indicate that some individuals were assaulted on the main street of Sehwi Boako within the constituency, while others faced attacks in their residences.
Speaking to Adom News, certain victims claimed that the thugs were led by a recognized NPP member within the community. Allegedly, this party member instructed the thugs to target the victims’ locations for the assaults.
They alleged that the assailants damaged items in their rooms, such as television sets and other possessions.
Moreover, certain victims recounted being assaulted with machetes and pump-action guns.
Reports suggest that one of the NDC members had spoken out against the President of the Sehwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Katakyire Kwasi Bumagamah, who happens to be the father of the NPP parliamentary candidate for Sehwi Wiawso.
The occurrence has been reported to the police for thorough investigation and potentially to apprehend the suspects.
