Ghanaian broadcast journalist Bridget Otoo has opened up about her personal life, sharing her experiences after taking a break from the media spotlight.
According to Otoo, life after her hiatus from the media was challenging.
She had to find work to maintain financial stability and turned to a cement business through connections with a friend.
In an interview on the Kwaky Sintim-Misah (KSM) show, she described the difficulties she faced in her new venture.
The start was tough, and she struggled to make substantial gains.
She revealed that she resorted to selling cement from a tricycle, known locally as an ‘aboboya,’ and went from shop to shop seeking customers.
“I had to beg people from ‘aboboya’ to buy my cement because I needed to get the money for my business. It wasn’t easy from the beginning at all,” Otoo shared on the KSM show.
Eventually, her persistence paid off, and her situation improved significantly before she received a call to join Metro TV.
