Sunday’s rainstorm uproots giant tree; trashes salon car, blocks Darkuman Quarters road

Following a heavy downpour in Accra on Sunday, the Darkuman Quarters Road became inaccessible to traffic due to two massive trees collapsing onto it.

Videos obtained by GhanaWeb showed the fallen trees obstructing different sections of the road, rendering it impassable for commuters and drivers.

Although the footage did not indicate any casualties, one of the trees crushed a Toyota Camry parked nearby, causing significant damage to the vehicle.

In the video, residents armed with machetes were observed attempting to clear the fallen trees to facilitate traffic flow.
